Obituary of Charlie Pelrine

Charlie Pelrine, 87, formerly of Merland, passed away March 7, 2018 at High Crest Nursing Home in Sherbrooke.

 

Born in Antigonish, he was a son of the late James and Mary (O’Brien) Pelrine.

 

Charlie raised his family in Halifax and worked for the City of Halifax for over 31 year, before returning to Merland upon retirement.

 

Surviving are daughters Kathleen (Bill) Stephenson of Lethbridge, Alberta, Patricia, Barbara and sons George, Frank, Raymond (Mary), Wayne and Karl all of Halifax, brothers, Lawrence and Leo Pelrine and several grandchildren and great grandchildren,

 

He was predeceased by his wife Agnes (Ridgley) ; brothers, James, Ambrose, Michael, Roderick, William, and Patrick; sisters, Margaret, Alice Bonvie, Agnes Bowman and stepdaughter Cecilia Ridgley.

 

Visitation will be Sunday, 2-4 and 6-8 at St. Peter's Place, Tracadie.  Funeral Monday at 11:00 a.m. at St. Peter's Church, Tracadie with Rev. John Barry officiating, interment at St. Patrick's Cemetery, Merland.

Family flowers only, donations to charity of choice.
