On behalf of the Canso Lions Club our sincerest condolence to Lion Earls wife Alice & his family. Lion Earl visited our club many times & always brought his wisdom of lionism, support & his many stories or jokes. Lion Earl has been my mentor over the years when ever I had questions & I always enjoyed seeing him at the conventions. Lion Earl was a wonderful person and a true Lion he lived by the Lions motto "WE SERVE" which he did not only in his own community but in many others as well !! Despite the fact that Lion Earl's health was far from great, especially in his last few weeks at home, his death still comes as a shock. Lion Earl despite the challenges presented by his health was still interested in the activities of the Antigonish Lions Club, as I witnessed when I last visited Lion Earl on Wednesday evening June 22/2022. We are so sorry to hear about Earl passing. He was our first Vice-Principal in our educational journey. Earl also mentored Bob as he worked on his degree. Earl was always there with the little mini-crisis situations with teachers and students in a school day, in a most caring, respectful way.
