My sincere condolences to the entire Chisholm Clan on the loss of your beloved Bobby. I first met Bobby as a young kid on the Baseball field. We became close friends when the county kids joined the townies in Grade 10 at the Regional. Our mutual love of the Boston Bruins played a role. We all knew him as Daz! Adventures too many to mention and stories that would take a lifetime to tell. When Bobby was applying to the RCMP, he sat me down and asked me to be a charcter reference. He said "Reg, I'm just gonna ask you one thing, don't tell them what I'm really like". Not to worry Daz, you received the most glowing reference ever. When I think of Bobby, the words confident, driven, athletic, ambitious, compassionate, disciplined and optimistic are just a few that come to mind. We had great times both on and off the field winning the 1979 Provincial High School Softball Title together. Man, could he pick guys off at 1st base! Glory Days as Springsteen says. The boys were happy when Bobby was able to attend our 40th reunion in 2019. Great times. Every sport Bobby tried, he excelled. He never took shortcuts. I had a great visit with Bobby in July. We talked about old times but spent more time talking about the future with his typical unbound optimism. I will miss my friend dearly. Rest in peace Catcher Daz!
