So sorry to hear about Paul. Lots of fond memories going way back playing hockey and ball and then in high-school. Typical greeting from him: "Hello brothers!" Heard lots of stories about Rose and Hughie "The Bear" he really had a strong connection to the family. We'd often go over to the mall to visit Janet when she worked there and they were always happy to see each other. Will be thinking of you all on Thursday.

To all of the Smith family, please accept my condolences! From past discussions, I know how important Paul was to all of you. The obituary is perfect, it describes him exactly. Dear Danny, Greg, Brent and families, I met Paul at Braemore School in Grade 5 and, although we weren't close, I had a friend for life. Paul’s obituary so accurately summed up the bright, funny, kind, protector we all knew. Our sincere condolences.

So very sorry to learn of your loss Mary Rose, I’ve thought about you many times throughout the years. I live in Michigan now and have for almost 60 years. Was shocked to read that Huggie had passed, wonder if he and Ronnie have some fun chats. I made my last visit to NS in 2019 , old age caught up with me along with debilitating arthritis. Oh I am so sad to hear of Paul's passing. My family spent a lot of time with the Smith family, especially during the ball season. I can still hear Paul's slow drawl. He was a good person and now he has found peace.

To the family, I remember Paul most from when you lived on St. Ninian Street. I was over at the Smiths many days for lunch. Janet was my friend along with her three brothers at that time. I remember when Paul got glasses and he hid them in the field behind their house. We were sent to retrieve the glasses. He was a kind gentle guy. Please accept my condolences. May he RIP.
