Obituary of Frank Michael Best

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved father, Frank Best, who passed away in his home on April 12, 2025, at the age of 76. He was born on November 22, 1948, in Grand Falls -Windsor, Newfoundland.

Frank was a cherished father to his three daughters and grandfather to four grandchildren. He will be remembered not only for his love for his family but also his passion for the water – especially boat building and sailing, which brought him great joy throughout his life.

Frank was known for his quiet strength, gentle spirit, and generous heart. Whether he was guiding a boat across calm waters or guiding his daughters through life’s challenges, he did so with patience, care, and wisdom.

He is survived by his three daughters: Dena, Tara (Doug), Helen, and his grandchildren: Shya, Jasin, Asha and Javonni. His legacy lives on in the lessons he taught, the values he passed down, and the memories he created with those he loved.

A celebration of life gathering will held beginning at 3:00 pm on Saturday, August 2, 2025 at the home of Diggy Broderick, 1130 West Lakevale Road, Lakevale. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Martha's Regional Hospital in honour of his 30+ years of commitment serving his local community as a laboratory technician.

He will be deeply missed, and his memory carried in our hearts always.
