Found these photos in an '81 'Scotia Sun' few years ago. My Cousin Steve MacInnis was a Reporter there at the time, seated in the front middle, with Inez on the left. A young Lorne MacGillivray, Rick & Anne Cluett,in the back. Also Bill Martin (think that was his name) who went on to form 'The Reporter' a year or two later. It would be 4 years before I'd meet Inez and some of the others. She was a year out of Sarec High School here. I believe she was with 'The Sun' until it closed in '94, graduating to Advertising sales by the time I met her in '85 at Central Supplies. Later she was my customer, and if her family sees this...I supplied the name cushions for her Grandchildren, plus she got one for Clarence and others. Very sad news and deepest sympathy to the Family. She had a zest for life that's so memorable.
I feel so lucky to have known Inez, as a mentor and a great friend. She was the hardest worker and one of the strongest women I know. I often laugh about our lengthy and frequent phone calls, and will miss her strong will, her honest opinions, and her fantastic sense of humor.
She will be greatly missed, and I send lots of love to her friends and family.
