I want to extend my sincere sympathy to all of the MacGillivray family. Mary was a very special lady. I enjoyed working with her during my time at the Regional. I have often reminisced about the many laughs we had during our time there. She truly was a kind, creative and brilliant soul who made the world a better place. May God be good to her. She will be missed.

Mary was a one of a kind person.. I used to visit her when I lived briefly in Antigonish..We shared a brief but wonderful connection. She wanted to talk about God and Faith a lot.One thing I especially noticed was that this lady NEVER complained..she took each as it came.Funniest thing she told me was that her son had bought her a pair of high boots and as she didn’t go out much..she said that one day after the winter she wanted to wear the boots as she sat in her wheelchair inside. She said she wanted to get the wear out of them..Sweet, lovable Mary ..may God be good to you! Eternal rest grant unto her O Lord and let perpetual light shine upon her Amen

Sincere condolences to Adele, Burke, Brian and all of Mrs MacGillivary’s family. I remember this lovely lady who was kind to me ,a neighborhood girl, who had no artistic talent . She did comment fondly when I was singing with the Gaelic Choir. I met up with her at the RK and told her how much that meant to me. May she rest in peace.

To the MacGillivray:
My most sincere condolences to you on the passing of your mother, Mrs. MacGillivray. She was a kind, gentle soul whose love for art shone through her teaching - and what a wonderful teacher she was. I enjoyed EVERY class. She could turn the simplest subject into a beautiful work of art. I have one of her pieces in my home. Thank you, Mrs. MacGillivray:)
May God bless her beautiful soul!

Hello dear Adele,
I have such fond memories of your Mom on the days I’d go to your house after school. There was always a plate of cookies and an easel with a painting on it. So talented and so kind.
Much love to you and your family, Trish K.

To Adele and the family.
It was sad but uplifting to read of your mother’s death. Her 105 years on this earth was filled with her passion for painting and her desire to share her talent with hundreds, dare I say thousands, of her students. Rest in peace.

Please accept my condolences on the passing of your mom. I took art lessons both at her home and at The Regional. She did a portrait of me at school and I have it hanging in my living room. She was a very kind, talented woman. I will be remembering you all in my prayers.

I am sorry for your loss, and I hope that you are sustained through your time of grief by the support of family and friends.
I have so many wonderful memories of Mrs. MacGillivray. So much fun in her art classes as we created, shared laughs and made friends. When Rose Anne and I hung around her home in the summers, she was welcoming and patient. May she rest in peace.
