Obituary of Margaret Ellen MacIsaac
Margaret Ellen (Rudolph) MacIsaac, the eldest daughter of Frank Irven and Susan Ellen (Johnson) Rudolph was born with an abundance of vitality and creativity. Her view of the world was formed through the lens of nature, the lens of a camera and anything that could be read from a book. This was a perfect backdrop for her time as a proofreader and she was very proud of her work at "The Casket" and on a number of local publications. Being something of an amateur geologist, her collection was displayed in many flower beds that were constructed from stones of interesting or unknown origin and the "very" special were proudly showcased in her home. She could carry a rock for miles and along the way gather flora and fauna for an arrangement of wildflowers. Many of those came from among the acres in Beauly where she and Huntley harvested uncle Finlay's award-winning balsam firs and lived seasonally in their camp. If you spent time with her, you knew that every experience or encounter provided fodder for caustic humor and many felt it's perhaps, entertaining bite.
Margaret was a former associate member of ARRAS branch 59. She served as Secretary, on the J.K. House Archives and the Ladies Auxiliary. It was her way of honoring the service of her father and uncle George.
She loved her "Nippers", and every dog she ever met.
Margaret was predeceased by her husband Huntley, son George, sisters Fran Gavel and Gladys Brow, brother Kenneth, and grandson-in-law Robert Glashoerster.
Remaining are daughter Tessie (Hugh) MacFarlane, granddaughters (the Nippers), Abigale Glashoerster, Jane Anne (Kevin) Woytkiw, Catherine (Cory) Young and Rebecca MacFarlane; brother John (Deborah) Rudolph; sister Anne (Francis) LeBlanc; sister-in-law Teresa MacIsaac; brothers-in-law Lauchie (Betty) MacIsaac and Gerald (Margie) MacIsaac; great-grandchildren Annalise and Gwyneth Glashoerster and John Hugh and Finlay Young........and Rosy.
