I will always cherish all the time I spent with Maria. Her sense of humour, warmth and love was like a shining beacon. The only women with a laugh whose intensity and volume could rival my sister Denise and the two together were a sight to behold. We will all miss you dearly

Your Mum was a breath of fresh air as she was never afraid to smile and laugh at some of our antics. She was always available to answer our questions and that in it’s self made her stand out.
Hugs to all of you,
Amy Scott RN Class if 1988.

My deepest sympathy to your family. Marie was my coworker at the Bathurst School of Nursing. She was a very dear friend who helped me when I started teaching Psychiatric Nursing in the French program. Marie was an exceptional person with extraordinary empathy for her patients, students and coworkers. It was a great pleasure to work with her. She was very welcoming when we visited her and Mo. I will always remember her, may she rest in peace.

Maureen and Jack Brown would like to offer their condolences to the entire family after hearing of the death of dear Marie. Maureen was taught by Marie at the Bathurst School of Nursing while Jack had the unique opportunity to teach with Marie at BHS and roomed with her during the 1982-83 school year when they both pursued their Master of Education at UNB. Marie and Jack travelled together each weekend and shared many laughs along the way. Marie was a beautiful person both inside and outside. She now gets to reunite with her husband and beloved son who left us several years ago. Marie, you were so special to Jack and he will miss you.

My sincere sympathies to Marie’s family. I remember loving her as my high school Biology teacher. She was kind, smart, knowledgeable, and had a pleasant calm approach to teaching. She did smile easily.
I also remember your parents as a couple. They seemed very happy together and very proud of their kids.
May you find peace through your memories of her.

Mrs Belland was my grade 10 biology teacher at Bathurst High then my nursing instructor in the first new 2 year nursing program in Bathurst. I saw her occasionally when I was home visiting from Vancouver in the summer and she was always happy to see previous students and catch up. She was a lovely person.
