Dear Alfred,Darren,Natalie,Eugene and Family
I am so sorry for your great loss. Jackie is gone physically but will be forever in my heart and mind. I was so fortunate to have gotten to know her so well. I cherish the times I spent with her at home ,at your place, sitting in the sun, chatting and watching her knit her beautiful baby hats (donating hundreds to a hospital)
I will miss her beautiful smile. Love shone through her eyes
I have missed her for a long time as she no longer recognized me.
I realize how difficult it is for all of you I witnessed the care you all gave her.
The loving hugs and kisses.
Take care of yourselves now.
She is peacefully at rest

Alfred, Darren, Natalie and family, friends and loved ones, our heartfelt sympathies to you all. Her love for her family was immeasurable, as was your love for her always, especially as you endured, witnessed and gave Jackie such exemplary loving care and comfort before/ during/ and after her dementia journey. She was a wonderful woman whose unconditional love, patience and nurturing qualities have been passed onto her children, grandchildren and great grandchild. Sending you all our love and strength during this great loss.

My deepest condolences on your loss. Although I never had the opportunity to meet Jackie in person, I truly feel that I came to know her through Darren — through the love, respect, and warmth he always showed when spoke about her. Jackie was deeply loved and beautifully cared for by Darren, Alfred, and Natalie. She was surrounded by a family that cherished her, protected her, and gave her comfort, and that speaks volumes about the life she lived and the legacy she leaves behind.
My heart is with you and your family during this difficult time. May you find strength in one another, and peace in knowing how much love surrounded her always.

To The Martell &Samson Family, Sincere & Heartfelt Sympathies And Condolences for your great loss. Jackie was an exemplary woman —Loving and was Loved by all!!! She lived a milestone in a family of faith, love, compassion, caring, generosity, patience etc. Her son Darren always made sure his mom was dressed stylish, & modest. She reminded me of Queen Elizabeth of England with her beauty, hats and purses, also Queen of Sheba. I have truely known the family over two years and I am proud to say that I consider them as another extended family. I was always welcomed with open arms and mostly with LOVE. Our friendship has grown immensely and I am blessed to be part. They will always have a “SPECIAL” place in my heart. R.I.P. Jackie, Sister in God’s Eyes.

Dear Nat, Eugene, Alfred, Daren, Robyn, Dylan & Abby,
We are sending you all lots of love and strength during this difficult time.
As just a little girl, I was lucky enough to have the privilege of knowing Jackie, as she regularly stopped by our family home during her walks à la Pointe. At each stop, I remember Jackie smiling and telling us stories about her family, whom she held so dear. No matter what, Jackie always took the time to stop and chat and fill our hearts.
Elle rayonnait toujours d’amour. ❤️
We will truly miss her and will hold her memories close to our hearts.
Lots of love,
T’Angèle, Phil, Patsy & John

Dear Alfred, Natalie and Darren,
Jackie radiated love. With everyone, but especially when she looked at each of you and her grandchildren. You made her so very happy, so proud and entirely content. She embodied unconditional love, the kind that gives yet expects nothing in return. As her illness progressed, she could rely on you to return the love and support that she so freely gave her whole life. To both love and feel so loved is a blessing beyond measure. Your presence and devotion were a source of great comfort to her and a testament to your faith and to your humanity, in ensuring that she lived her final years with dignity. I hope you find solace in the love flowing to you through our thoughts and prayers. ❤️

I first met Jackie in Florida when Darren and I were working there. She sunned herself by my pool while Darren, true to familial helpfulness, power washed my deck. Later I met the whole family while enjoying the Martell hospitality in Petit-de-Grat. Jackie drove me around to all the local sights, including the church, a major part of family life. My lasting memory will be of clam digging with Jackie and Alfred in borrowed wellies. Jackie cooked the ones we found for dinner. Go find my Mum and Dad in Heaven and have a good chat.

Natalie & family, although I did not know your mom I feel the love she had for each of you in her obituary and then watching the video I saw that love. She shared a very special bond with all of you. The love your parents shared was so strong and the love Abby has for her and your mom for Abby is so evident in the photos. My deepest condolences to you all. May the love she showered over each of you comfort you during this difficult time. She loved you all so much. Big hugs to you all ♥️

Alfred, Natalie, Darren & family
Your mother's obituary is beautiful and it certainly describes the faithful, family-oriented woman she was. Special thanks to whoever among you wrote it and gave her the voice which was lost these past few years. It's a very thoughtful reminder to check in on my friends whose parents are battling the dreaded dementia disease as we speak - and it's just like Jackie to push others into an act of kindness, I will do that for her.
While your mom may not have remembered all of you in the last few years, I hope your memories of her will be the long lasting ones of how she 'used to be'. Mom (Amelia) missed her phone calls very much but often spoke of her on my visits to the PHK nursing home. She very much appreciated the phone call from your dad this week- that was very kind of him.
Hugs to all of you as you mourn Jackie's loss and find ways to celebrate her life in the weeks ahead.

Alfred, Natalie, Darren and family,
Jackie was one of my best friends growing up. Even in adulthood she often stopped in to visit me on her walks to the Point and even if she was in a rush, she always had time for a chat. We shared many laughs and tears over the decades, prayed lots of novenas together, and shared family news and stories. I have missed her voice, her drop-ins and her phone calls a lot since her illness and diagnosis, hope she is now able to rest her heart and mind. She was loved. Condolences to all of you,
Amelia Samson

Our love is with all of you during this difficult time. Please know that Tante Jackie is at eternal peace, finally free from the burdens of this world.
For as long as I can remember, Tante Jacks & Coco welcomed me (eventually- us) into their home and provided a happy & safe space, no questions asked!
I will cherish the memories and moments together, as well as the unconditional love so freely given to us.
I will forever remember my childhood weekend sleep-overs and cooking potato slices. My children will forever remember their summers in the field and having "nutella breakfast" with Tante Jacks every morning.

Dear Alfred, Nathalie & Eugene, Darren, Robyn, Dylan, Abby,
We extend our deepest condolences in the loss of a beautiful lady you all loved so much. We have so many wonderful memories of Jackie and most of them involve laughing, kindness and sitting at the kitchen table at the Point. Mom always enjoyed her visits and loved hearing about her adventures. What stood out the most is how much she loved her family and how proud she was of each of you! She will always be remembered for living gracefully, loving deeply and spreading smiles and sunshine in her community. May you find comfort in memories you’ve shared and in knowing she personified beauty inside and out. Sending heartfelt love and condolences to each of you xx
