My deepest condolences to Carl's family and friends. Carl was one of the kindest people I've met. While our friendship was built from us participating in the PCPEG (Prostate Cancer Patient Empowerment Program) , and we lived in different provinces, we none the less became good friends and talked on the phone almost every Monday. I could always count on Carl's positive attitude and his kind nature.
Peace be with you Carl.

Dear Fraser, Reggie, Elaine, Diane, Bernard, Gerald and Jim;
We were saddened to hear of Carl’s passing and I wanted to extend my heartfelt condolences to all of you.
Carl will be remembered as a kind and caring gentleman who live a life of service to others.
We always enjoyed visits with cousins. I will never forget a very early visit, decades ago when Carl played the bagpipes in our backyard. Heavenly music descended on Woodstock, Ontario that afternoon…much to my parents delight!
May the memories you shared with him bring comfort in the days ahead.
Thinking of you all and sending my love and deepest sympathy.
Marianne (MacDonald) and Guy DeBock

There are unique individuals who make the greatest of impacts in the quietest of ways. Carl was one such. I had the pleasure of meeting Carl while working at StFX, and intermittently our paths crossed in the years since. Kind, unassuming, soft spoken, thoughtful, and caring…he was an extraordinary example of the best of humanity. And although it was a rare occasion when we interacted, I will miss him. His family and friends must feel his loss profoundly. My heartfelt condolences to you all.

Carl was brilliant and he made it all seem so effortless. He was a true gentleman, so kind and fun to be around. He used his talents to improve the lives of so many people. A truly outstanding person. I feel blessed to have known Carl. God bless you.

I was so sorry to hear of Carl's passing. Many years ago while Carl worked at St. Martha's in Data Systems and I was working in Accounts Payable, we shared office space and I got to know Carl quite well. He was genuinely kind, helpful, generous and compassionate. I had a great deal of respect for him. I would occasionally see him after that and he always had time for a bit of a chat. How lucky L'Arche was to have him in their employ. He had so much to offer. May you all be comforted by the memories you have and can share with one another. My deepest condolences to you all.

Carl was a wonderful man and an important part of the James River community and St. Joseph's Parish. I will always remember his kindness and gentleness. He always stopped by for a chat after church or at the house when we were home for a visit. He was so kind to my children, even sending them an audio recording of the spring peepers from Georgie's pond so they could experience James River in Spring. I am inspired by his quiet faith and how lovingly he cared for others, especially his father and the beautiful people at L'Arche. He was such a good neighbour to my parents, and especially to my Mom after Dad died. I know we will all miss him so much. God Bless you all during this difficult time. I wish I could be there in person, but please be assured of my prayers. Carl, rest in peace, and may your legacy live on in the love and kindness we show to each other.
Love Kelly, Joe, Patrick and Heather
