I met Carl since I arrived Antigonish in October 2021 from Indonesia and he helped in many ways to be settle at L'arche. I deeply grateful for Carl generosity to let his house sometime as our hang out place for us foreigner assistants.

I have been Carl's friend since I first met him in 1981. We started together at CN together and started hanging out together, both being new recruits and new to Montreal. His sense of humour and manner solidified our friendship. He became a great friend to my wife MJ as well. He was our best friend, my Best Man and Godfather to our daughter Emma. MJ and I were fortunate to see Carl last summer and had a great visit with lots of laughs. We're grateful that he was able to be at Emma's wedding to Jake in 2022 and that he was able to meet our granddaughter Maeve last summer. On behalf of our entire family, Maeve, Emma, Jake and Madeline - I want to express our deepest love, Carl. We will miss you greatly.
