I always ran into Karen as she walked her little dog. She made those small moments feel warm every time. Her faith, her kindness, that smile she always
wore… it was impossible not to notice.
And she lit up every time she talked about her kids and little Aiden. You could feel how much she adored you all.
I’m so grateful to have known her! Sending you love during this hard time.

Karen, you will always be remembered as one of those rare, special souls that radiates love and light from within. You were filled with compassion, and every kind word, smile and action was a testament of your genuine, loving concern for the well-being of all others. Behind that gentle, caring, mannerism and touch, was a woman who knew what others needed and your high standard of care led you to advocate for those who could not advocate for themselves. Karen, I could not be more proud to say that you were one of the very, 'Very Best'. The RK will miss you and so will I.

Although I only worked with Karen for a short time, it was evident that she was doing her true calling in life and evidenced by a long career at the RK. Her professionalism and compassion for her residents was just an extension of the person she was to everyone she met. There were some really good belly laughs and even a few tears but mostly a lot of smiles especially when talking about her children and the sweetest little grandson ever. Any opportunity to pull out her phone for a sneak peak was always welcomed. I will miss her terribly and miss her genuine concerns, and hearing, "you doing ok dear ?" To all of her family and especially her sisters, there will never be anyone as "dear" as Karen, may her faith guide her home!

I remember how honored I was to be invited to her wedding, the excitement and pride the very first time I met Baby Sarah. My young hip babysitter was a mom! Watching her love and parent her kids was beautiful and they have all grown to be smart, hardworking, genuinely great people because of the woman she was. I’m so sorry for such an immense loss.
