I am here with my mother, Kathleen Barry. Mom would like to share one of her earliest memories of Mary.
When Mary was just three years old, Kathleen just graduated from high school in Pictou and was headed home to the Codroy for the summer. Kathleen stopped at Brierly Brook to pick up Mary and bring her home for a visit. At just three years of age, Mary was a trooper. She did not leave my mother's side for the duration of the visit. That was the beginning of a very beautiful relationship between my mother, Kathleen and Mary.
We extend our deepest condolences at her loss. We know she will be missed.

Go in peace Mary. Yours was a life well and fully lived.
Condolences to the Bekkers and MacIsaac families for your loss. Take solace in the fact that Mary is with God and reunited with Tony.
Anne and I drove across Canada in July. We were able to visit Mary on July 7. She invited us to come and have a meal with her. It was a special time for us. She had her son, Gordon, tour us around the farm. She came with us. Her pride at what they have accomplished shone through as she and Gordon explained how the farm operated and answered all of our questions. Her calm acceptance of what was happening with her was inspiring. Her humour shone through as she told us that the doctors told her that she had 6 months to live but she did not know when that time count started.
A truly inspiring woman! We will cherish her memory always.
