Obituary of Bernadette Gertrude “Tulla” Brow

Passed away peacefully at her home in Antigonish, Nova Scotia January 9th, 2018 at the age of 83. Born in Antigonish, Nova Scotia to the late Andrew Grant and Mary Mckeough, she spent her youth in Nova Scotia. Bernadette met, and married William and they moved to Calgary where they built their new life and family. They retired to Nova Scotia where their heart had never left. Bernadette’s greatest joy and passion was her family and friends. Christmas was her favorite time of year and she absolutely loved to host a big meal to bring us all together. "Nothing better than a cup of coffee and some conversation. " At her home in Heatherton she loved to garden and worked painstakingly to create an incredible outdoor oasis for all to enjoy. She is survived by her brother Andre and sister Eleanor; sons William and Terry (Mary-Lynn); daughters, Catherine (Kevin), Rosalinde (Sanjib), and Karen (Leighton); grandchildren Daniel and Teresa; numerous nieces and nephews; and dear friends. She was predeceased by her husband William; sisters Mary Theresa, Mary Alice, Shirley and Sheila; Brothers Joseph and John, and son-in-law Leighton. Service to be held at Immaculate Conception Parish, Heatherton Nova Scotia, Tuesday January 16th at 2 PM with reception to follow. In Lieu of flowers donations can made to The Antigonish Heritage Museum.
