Karen Lemme posted a condolence

Our deepest sympathies to Christine, Jacqueline and their families. I have many wonderful memories of my childhood which include The Wood family. Our parents not only played tennis together, but traveled on vacation together as well. Enid, (Mrs. Wood to me) always made me feel welcome in her home even when I'm sure the last thing she wanted after a long day of work - is another mouth to feed. I remember her calm patience and happy disposition. She will always be a part of my wonderful childhood memories.
with love, Mario and Karen Lemme and the Evans family

My most heartfelt condolences to everyone in Enid's family. Enid was, in all aspects of her life, simply superb. As the Assistant to the Dean(s), there has been no one who comes close to her professional abilities and performance. She was, and remains, the best.
And outside the office, there was no more cheerful and caring and helpful a person as Enid.
I remember fondly the delicious dinners that she served in her dining room at Purl Brooking, and the vivacious parties in the basement. Enid could dance!
I also remember excellent squash games with Jack, and helping him out on the woodlot on Brown's Mountain (and his wonderfully vituperative cursing of a flat tire one time on the way back to town).
Two of the best people ever to walk the earth.
Sincerely,
Doug Smith,
English Dept.

My heart goes out to the family. I am so sorry for your loss. Enid was a wonderful neighbour, always so kind and would give my sister and myself extra candy on Halloween. My deepest condolences to all.

I met Enid when she and Jack first moved to Antigonish.
They were such a lovely couple.
It was always a pleasure to see Enid and have a chat.
Rest in peace, Enid.

Wanting to send my condolences to this beautiful lady, whom I had the pleasure of knowing, back in the early 90's I sold Avon to Enid when she was still at STFX, I always thought she was the most classy woman, so smart, but so, so kind, she was absolutely beautiful my deepest condolences to her family
