My sincerest condolences to Pete's family. When I moved to Ottawa in 1988 and to St. Pius X, Peter was my first principal. I thought he was an exceptional administrator and contributed greatly to the success of the school. He will be missed by all who had the privilege of working with him.

Please accept our most sincere condolences in the loss of Peter Lineger. Peter interviewed Cathy and I when we first came to the Carleton Roman Catholic School Board in 1988 and I had the good fortune to have Peter as my first principal in the board at St. Pius X High School. He was a tremendous leader and wonderful person who cared deeply about the students, staff and school community. He will be greatly missed.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to family and friends at this difficult time. Peter will live on in our memories and our interactions with one another.

Our hearts are with all the family as you grieve the death of Pete. Just watching the above video shows the viewers how important each of you were to your father, grandfather and husband and of course all the in laws and extended family. We only came into Pete’s circle of friends in the last six years but his gentleness and kindness will always be remembered. For me (Donna), both Betty and Pete were a tie to my home town of Antigonish and to StFXU. After 50 years living “away” from Antigonish, it was indeed a treat to find such special friends.
May Pete’s laughter, warmth, wisdom and love be treasured memories to warm and comfort your hearts in the days and months to come.

Please accept my condolences on the loss of your father. Pete became principal at Pius under difficult circumstances but provided a leadership style that allowed staff and students to flourish. Sending along my sincere condolences to Pete's family. I worked with him many years ago and had many chats about folks from Antigonish. I grew up in St Andrews and graduated from STFX and moved to Ottawa to teach. Pete was one of the first people I met with a connection to " down home". All my family still lives in Antigonish as does my husband's. I am so happy he had a chance to spend time with all his loved ones. What an amazing person he is truly one of the "great ones".
