Obituary of Eileen Mary Cunningham

Cunningham, Eileen Mary; age 95, of Antigonish; passed away peacefully at St. Martha's Regional Hospital on March 14th, 2017. Born in Halifax, she was the daughter of the late Capt. Robert & Maude Swansburg. She was predeceased by her husband Roy in 2003; she and Roy lived in Stewiacke, New Waterford, Liverpool and Shubenacadie during his years with Royal Bank. She enjoyed meeting new people and made many good friends in each community. They moved back in Antigonish in 1977. Survived by daughter Gael (Ronald) Sceles, Port Shoreham; she was very proud of her grandsons and great-grandchildren; Ian, Halifax; Glenn (Jenny), Hadleyville; their children Emily, Jack, and Anna; her sister Rita Morley, Halifax. She was predeceased by her sister Agnes Carmichael, and her brother Robert Swansburg. Cremation has taken place, there will be no service (as per Eileen's wishes). Special thanks to Lee McCarron and her staff at Green Meadows for their care and support these past five years.
