Obituary of T. Murray Workman

Murray Workman, 71 of North Grant, Antigonish County passed away on December 18th, 2013 at St. Martha's Regional Hospital in Antigonish. The son of the late Thomas and Edna (Murray) Workman, he was raised in Westville, Nova Scotia and spent his working and family life in Antigonish. He worked for the Department of Natural Resources for 33 years before retiring to his beloved farm. Murray was an active man who had many interests and developed fast friends through his involvement with 4-H, dog obedience, forestry, trapping and hunting, square dancing, ring stewarding at the Eastern Nova Scotia Exhibition and farming activities. He is survived by his wife Patricia (MacCharles), daughters Amanda (Antigonish) and Stephanie (Airdrie, AB) and son Johnathan (Edmonton, AB), his sisters Carolyne (Douglas) Pye, Hamilton, ON; Charlotte (Gregory) Nevin, Whitby, ON; Jessie Newman, Westville, NS; Elizabeth (Rodger) Kellerman, Fall River, NS; and nephews and nieces. He is also survived by his sisters and brothers in-law, Norma and Gary Tonks, New Glasgow, NS and Norris and Lana MacCharles, Port Alberni, BC and was predeceased by his aunt Edie Murray, Westville, NS. Funeral Service will take place 2:00pm Friday, December 27, 2013 in St. James United Church, Rev. Peter Smith presiding. Donations may be made to St. James United Church Building Fund or St. Martha's Regional Hospital Foundation.
