Obituary of Sarah Janet MacDonald

Please Note, The Funeral is postponed until 2PM at St. Ninian's Cathedral Sarah Janet "Sally" (MacDonald) MacDonald, 104, of the Heights, Antigonish, passed away peacefully February 1st, 2015 in the R.K. MacDonald Nursing Home, surrounded by her family. Born in Antigonish she was a daughter of the late John W. and Mary (MacIsaac) MacDonald. A lady of great faith, she was a member of St. Ninian's Parish and CWL. Enjoyed flowers and gardening, and cherished her family, especially her grandchildren. Surviving are children Lawrence (Ada), Antigonish; Valmar (late Billy) Beaton, Antigonish; Carmen (Stella) Clydesdale; grandchildren Tammy Beaton, Jacqueline MacDonald, Bill Beaton, Geoffrey, Adam, Phillip, Eric, Terry and Angela MacDonald, special grandson David Murphy, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Lauchie Dan, sisters Anna MacDonald, Katherine Anderson, Mary MacDonald; brothers Alex, Dougald and Lawrence. Visitation 2-4 and 7-9 pm, Thursday in MacIsaac Funeral Home, 61 Pleasant Street, Antigonish. Funeral Mass will be held at 11 am on Friday in St. Ninian's Cathedral, Rev. Andrew Boyd presiding. Burial will be in the parish cemetery at a later date.
