Obituary of Maurice Carroll MacNeil

MacNeil, Maurice Carroll; of Antigonish, formerly of Lanark, died at home in Antigonish February 16. He was born April 11, 1943, a son of the late Daniel A. J. MacNeil and Anna H. (MacPhee) MacNeil. He was predeceased by his siblings, James, Jeanette, John L. "Jack", Ronald and his twin Arnold. He is survived by his siblings Donald (Marilyn), Valley, Owen, Dartmouth, Margaret Ann, Dartmouth, and sister-in-law Helen in Toronto, and many nieces and nephews. Maurice enjoyed sports , fishing and hunting in his youth. He worked as a painter. He will be remembered by his many friends for his kindness, generosity and steadfast faith. Visitation February 22, from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at MacIsaac Funeral Home, 61 Pleasant St, Antigonish. Funeral Mass February 23 at 11 am at St Ninian’s Cathedral, Antigonish. Burial in St Ninian’s Cemetery, at a later date. Memorial Donations to St Vincent de Paul Society or a Charity of your choice.
