Obituary of Cecilia Mary Grace

GRACE, CECILIA MARY, 82, Antigonish passed away peacefully on Friday June 5, 2015 in High-Crest Sherbrooke. Born in Summerside Road, Heatherton, she was the daughter of the late William A. and Gladys (Spooner) Chisholm. Cecilia worked at Goodman's Clothing Store in the ladies' clothing department, for over 30 years; she later took a position at Mount Saint Bernard before retiring in 1997. Cecilia loved spending time with her family and friends, enjoyed taking the occasional shopping trip to New Glasgow, and listened to the old time fiddle music. In her youth, she loved going to the dances, and later became an avid bingo player. Her pleasing manner and sweet temperament endeared her to all those she knew. Cecilia is survived by her son, Howard (Teena) Grace, Australia; brother: Wilfred (Pauline), Summerside Road; sister: Margaret (Marvin) Robbins, Barney's River; Evelyn (Donald) Chisholm, Farm Road; Jean Fisher, Calgary; Veronica (Ronald) Peitzsche, Canso as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Howard Grace; brothers John A and Alexander "Sandy"; sister, Nancy; sister in law Jovita; brothers in law Frank Pettipas, and Dan J. MacDonald Visitation 2-4 pm and 7 & 9 pm Monday in MacIsaac Funeral Home, Antigonish. Mass of Christian Burial 11:00 am. Tuesday in St. Ninian's Cathedral, Antigonish; burial later that day in the parish cemetery.
