Obituary of Maria Regina Martell

Maria "Regina" Martell, 94, of Victoria St., Antigonish passed away Wednesday, December 16, 2015 in the RK MacDonald Nursing Home. Born January 20, 1921 she was a daughter of the late Thomas H and Marie Hortense (Boudreau) Martell. Regina moved to Antigonish to assist her sister many years ago, and became a permanent resident in the DeWolfe home. She is the last surviving member of her immediate family. She will be dearly missed by her many nieces and nephews in Cape Breton, and her immediate family in Antigonish; Joseph (MaryAnn) DeWolfe, Dorothy (Angus) Cote, Francis (Donna) DeWolfe and Claire (Marshall) Dickson. She was predeceased by sisters Madonna (Clifford) David, West Arichat; Lucille and Evelyn Martell, Petit- de-Grat; and Bernadette (Mrs. Leo DeWolfe), Antigonish; brother Thomas H. Martell Jr., Petit-De-Grat; also brother-in-law Leo DeWolfe, Antigonish. Funeral Mass 9:00 am Saturday, December 19, 2015 in St. Ninian’s Cathedral, Antigonish, Rev. Joe MacKenzie presiding. Burial in the parish cemetery.
