Obituary of Jordon Shemin Myles

Jordon Shemin Myles was one of a kind and so much bigger than this page would ever allow. He was fiercely authentic, strong as an ox, creative, loving, brave, kind and uproariously funny. He stayed with us as long as he did because of the love shown to him from his family and friends. Remember his good heart, his sage advice, his love of animals and children, his unabashed confidence and his in-your-face fashion sense. Remember how he reached out to anyone slightly different or ostracized; not out of pity but because he truly saw them and was unafraid to stand out himself. Remember his amazing smile, his quick humor, and the blinding light that often surrounded him. All of that was real. Let his disease serve only to help you to be kind to one another. Remind one another there is always hope. Jordon was born on April 4, 1998 and died, surrounded by love, on February 19, 2016. We are blessed to have a hundred years worth of memories jammed into only seventeen. Jordon will forever be missed by his mother, Jodi Myles; his brother Jacob Myles (the other half of the Jakbobs and Junder legacy) and his father, Troy Myles. Lets also keep in our hearts his dear Grandmothers, Catherine Myles and Judy MacDonald and the rest of his family. Please join us for visitation at MacIsaac Funeral Home, 61 Pleasant St., Antigonish, Wednesday, Feb 24 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A funeral service will take place at St. James United Church, 2:00pm Thursday Feb 25. In lieu of flowers, feel free to make donations to the Mental Health Dept at St. Martha's Hospital or to the Art Department at Dr. John Hugh Gillis Regional High. To our friends, family and community, your support sustains us. We cannot thank you enough. God Bless You. Namaste.
