Obituary of Dave Landry

Landry, David John "Dave", 69, of Lower South River, Antigonish County, passed away Saturday, November 16, 2019 in the Halifax Infirmary. Born in Antigonish, he was a son of the late Charles and Catherine (MacDonnell) Landry.

Dave was well known in his work as an attendant at MacMillan's Petro-can in Lower South River. An avid sports enthusiast he was scorekeeper for the St. Joseph’s Chiefs and Arisaig Blues of the AGR, top ticket seller for the Jr A Bulldogs hockey team and a proud fan of the Toronto Maple Leafs. He enjoyed card playing and TV bingo. Dave cherished the visits from his nieces and nephews.

Surviving are his brothers and sisters; Marie (Gerard ) Gillis, Glen Road, Donald (Janice), George (Joanne), both Lower South River, Natalie (Kenny) Chisholm, North Grant, John (Janie), Afton, Margie (Brent) Lewis, Halifax, nieces and nephews, Brad, Jeremy, Serena, Jarrett, Jordan, Brennan, Nathan, Randy, Natasha, Megan, Melanie, Matthew and 17 great nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by brother Charles in infancy.

There will be no visitation, as per Dave’s wishes. Funeral Mass 11:00 am Wednesday in St Andrews Church, St Andrew’s, Rev Andrew Gillies presiding. Burial in the parish cemetery.
