Obituary of Elizabeth Rose MacEachern
Elizabeth "Rose" MacEachern, 95, of William’s Point, Antigonish County passed away peacefully on March 8, 2016 at the RK MacDonald Nursing Home.
Born on October 6, 1920. She was the daughter of the late Christopher and Mary Charlotte (Sutton) Grant.
Her passion was her family and she was deeply loved by all. Whenever you walked into her home you would be welcomed by the aroma of fresh baking, especially her homemade biscuits.
She enjoyed visits from her family and friends and especially loved when her grandchildren and great-grandchildren arrived.
Mom loved her many road trips around Antigonish and surrounding area. Her quiet strength and sense of humor will be missed by all.
She is survived by her three sons; Billy (Raylene), Sundre, AB; Robert (Angela), William’s Point; and Ronnie, William’s Point; five daughters, Donna (Terry), Calgary; Carlie (Glenn), William’s Point; Diane (Mike), Clydesdale; Bernadine (Brad), Pleasant Valley; Martha (Gerard), Roman Valley.
Rose is also survived by nineteen grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her husband Joseph, one sister, Mary Lil; and seven brothers, Angus, Robert, Donald, Angus J., Jack, George and Oliver.
Visitation will be held Thursday March 10th from 2-4pm and 7-9pm in MacIsaac Funeral Home, 61 Pleasant St., Antigonish. Funeral Mass 11am Friday March 11th in St. Ninian’s Cathedral, Burial in the parish cemetery.
