I’m so sorry to hear about Bernie’s passing. I have fond childhood memories of Bernie from our regular Sunday visits to Glen Rd. Much later, I was lucky to be able to get to know Bernie better when I spent time with him in Dartmouth.
My deepest sympathy to you all at this difficult time.

My condolences to the family. Bernie was like everyone's favorite uncle! Full of smiles and that mischievous grin would melt your heart. I worked with Bernie for many years at Abbott Dr and then we went to HASC together. We shared many special moments and lots of laughs. I will cherish those memories. He always loved being outside and enjoying the sunshine on the deck.
All who knew him loved him and would feel like the most special person in the world when you were blessed with a Bernie hug!
God Bless.
Sincerely
Anita Overs

Bernie and I worked together at Prescott Group for over ten years before he retired in 2012 - I have the fondest memories of his funny quirks, his big smile, and his big belly laugh! Oddly enough I found myself walking around Prescott this past Monday and I went around the old loop that he and I used to walk each afternoon. When I got to a certain corner where a fence stood, I remembered how it used to hold two large dogs that would bark viciously at us as we walked by - Bernie used to think that this was absolutely hilarious and would stand there watching them while laughing away! I always hoped that the dogs were outside, because it made my day. I wish to send my sympathies to his family and friends - he was a great man, and my thoughts are with you all during this difficult time.

Vaughn, Ronnie, and Robert,
it is of sadness that I think of Bernie and will always remember him as a free spirit running between the house and barn at Glen Road. Mamie left him in good hands with the loving care of his wonderful brothers.
