I had the pleasure of working with Al in the StFX Chemistry department during my first two years as a lab instructor, which were his last two years before his retirement. I spent Tuesday and Wednesday afternoons with him in the first year lab, and learned so much from him, including the importance of playing "Monster Mash" at Halloween and Christmas music during the last labs of first term for the students- a tradition I still hold firm to every year. :)
Al was so kind, friendly, and patient. After retiring, he often popped by the lab while visiting friends in the PSC to chat, see how I was doing, and catch up. Such a sweet man and true gentleman. I am keeping the Connors family in my thoughts and prayers!

My condolences to the family, friends and colleagues of Al Connors. I had the pleasure of working with Al many years ago at the Inverness lab. He graciously helped us out when we were short staffed. He was funny, pleasant, kind; a real gem to work with. Al was knowledgeable and enjoyed telling us stories of when he first started working in the laboratory. He will be missed; RIP Al.

I was so sorry to read of the passing of Al. I remember Al always picking Mary Pat up after work when I worked with her at the Bank of Nova Scotia over 40 years ago. Being from away, on New Years' Day, Al came to my door and invited me to have dinner with he, Mary Pat and the boys. After the meal, we enjoyed some rides on Al's snowmobile. I hold wonderful memories of some very special people. Thinking of you now, Mary Pat with pleasant memories of you and Al.
