Obituary of Anna Margaret MacDonald

MacDonald, Anna Margaret, age 101, passed away at the R.K MacDonald Nursing Home on Saturday, November 28, 2020.

Born in Marydale, Antigonish County, she was the daughter of the late John James and  Elizabeth (Chisholm) Fraser.

Anna completed a secretarial program at Mount Saint Bernard and worked in Hamilton, Ontario for a period of time.  She returned to Antigonish and worked for Dr. T.B Murphy. Anna was married in 1956 to Angus A. MacDonald, and lived on their farm in Marydale for many years before moving to Antigonish.

She is survived by her brothers Ronnie, Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario; and James (Lillian), Antigonish; and many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her husband, Angus A; sisters Mary, Irene, Theresa, Margaret, Elizabeth, and Mary Josephine; brothers Bernard and Donald.

Visitation will be in MacIsaac Funeral Home, 61 Pleasant St, Antigonish on Tuesday, December 1, 2020 from 12:00 noon to 1:30 pm with funeral mass to follow at 2:00 pm in St. Andrew's Church, St. Andrews, with Rev. Andrew Gillies presiding.  Burial in St. Andrew's Cemetery.  Please adhere to COVID-19 protocols.
