Obituary of George Michael Landry
It is with great sadness that the family of George Landry announces his passing on April 18, 2021.
George was born in Sydney on March 24, 1954. He was a family man and great friend to anyone that knew him…a gentle soul who loved life and was often referred to as The Bishop and mistaken for Willy Nelson. He was a gifted carpenter, legendary scaffolder, seasoned horticulturist and loved long rides on his Harley.
He is survived by the love of his life; his wife Alexina, step-children Katy, Eric (Ranelle) and Patrick (Catherine), grandchildren Logan, Justice, Hayley, Alexis, Duncan, Camden and Markus, and great-grandson Charlie, and sisters-in-law Linda, Marleen, Valerie, Bonnie, and brother-in-law, John.
He was heartbreakingly predeceased by both his daughter Shannon and son, Karl, step-daughters Tammy and Janet, and his parents Simon and Mary Ida Landry, and parents-in-law, Alex and Sadie MacNeil.
Visitation will be in MacIsaac Funeral Home on Saturday, April 24, 2021 from 2:00-5:00 p.m. COVID-19 protocols will be in place.
