Obituary of Michael Chisholm
Calgary/Antigonish
It is with deep sorrow that the family of Ian, age 59, of Calgary, and formerly of Antigonish, announces his passing. He died peacefully in his home in Calgary on April 17th, 2016. A kind and gentle man, Ian worked for many years in the Construction industry. He loved his work as it gave him an opportunity to enjoy the outdoors. He had a keen sense of humour and loved sharing stories or playing a good game of crib. Ian spent most of his adult life in Calgary, but he always considered Antigonish his home.
He will be sadly missed by his sister Jayne, (Mike) of Halifax, co-workers, friends and relatives. He was predeceased by his parents, Mary (Delaney) and Jerome Chisholm.
Visitation 4-7 pm Friday, April 22 in MacIsaac Funeral Home, 61 Pleasant St., Antigonish. Funeral Mass 11:00am Saturday in St. Ninian’s Cathedral, Rev. Donald MacGillivray presiding. Burial in the parish cemetery.
In Lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or to a charity of your choice.
