Bette Edwards died peacefully on October 31, 2022 in Green Meadows Community Residence for Seniors, her daughter Gill and grandson Simon were at her bedside. She was predeceased by Ron, her husband for over 60 years.

Left behind, daughter Gill and husband Jeremy (Hillyard), grandson Simon, wife Cathy Anne and grandaughters Mercedes and Briley, grandaughter Caroline, husband Pete (Dixon) and grandsons Rhys and Dylan. 

Bette was born in England in 1926 to Thomas James Pyke and Alice Brown. She married Ron in 1948 and they had one daughter, Gill. She was a born organizer with a love for music and dancing. She held many work positions during her life and ended her career as hospital acommodations officer for Arrowe Park Hospital on the Wirral, England.

Her ashes will be taken to England in the spring to reunite her with her husband.
