Obituary of Everett Joseph Grace
It is with sadness we announce the passing of Everett Grace. Everett passed away peacefully at the age of 91 in the RK MacDonald Nursing Home. Born in Springfield, Antigonish County, he later moved to Ontario, Montreal and Halifax. He was a self-employed carpenter, doing mostly roofing, a job he enjoyed and was very competent.
Everett met the love of his life, Judy, and moved home to Williams Point. A place they both loved and had wonderful neighbours and great friends.
Anyone who knew Everett would know his love for the fiddle. He would never pass up a chance to hit the floor, when a good tune was playing, or join in on a good game of 45's.
Everett had a "sweet tooth" and you could always count on him to share a candy from his pocket.
Everett was the last surviving member of his immediate family. He is predeceased by parents Benjamin and Sarah (MacDonald) Grace; brothers Lou, Leonard, Albert, Francis and Charlie; Sisters Margaret, Annabell, Kathleen and Annie; Sisters-in-law Mary Margaret Grace; Jean Grace; Brother-in-law Peter MacDonald. He will be missed by his nieces and nephews and extended family.
We send sincere thanks to Dr. Gallant and the staff of the RK MacDonald Nursing Home for the wonderful care Everett received.
At his request, there will be no visitation. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 am on Thursday, September 21, 2023 in St. Ninian Cathedral. Burial in the parish cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to a charity of one's choice.
