Bob and I enjoyed visiting with Sister many times at many locations. While she was at the Cardinal's residence in Toronto we would get calls to join the sisters for Chinese food and other times they would be given leaf tickets but needed a drive to the Gardens. We would enjoy the game as well.
I also spent time with her at the Seminary in Scaborough, in Ottawa, and St. Andrews. We always enjoyed a cup of tea at Bethany when we returned to Nova Scotia.
When I was working she would always call from the Cardinal's residence, on stormy days, to make sure I got home safely.
We will miss her dearly but enjoy lots of wonderful memories.

Sister Margaret gave me the warmest welcome when Dennis took me to Antigonish in 1978. She was so lovely and filled with joy. I paid her back by having our only son on her birthday, January 24. They were twins! I will miss her Christmas cards, they never failed to arrive no matter how many times we moved. I was blessed to know her and call her family. I can only imagine the great reunion in heaven with all her siblings, parents and relatives who went before her. May you rest in peace Sister. Sending lots of love to the huge family she leaves behind. She will be missed!

Rest in peace Sister Margaret. Auntie Peggy was in Moncton, at my mother’s side when I was born. She was 22. When we moved to Toronto in the 50s, she was now Sister Marie Amilia. She was a Sister’s of St. Martha nun and serving at the Scarborough Foreign Mission (I think). I was only about six years old. but I can remember visiting her there. She would also visit us at our home in Scarborough. I don’t remember seeing her again until I was an adult in the early 80s. She was in Kamloops. I stopped in at her convent for a visit. By then I think she was now Sister Margaret. The next time I saw her was with my wife Nikki in Antigonish and back at St Martha’s convent. She was approaching 100, but still vital. God Bless you Sister Margaret. You lived a full life, and I will always remember those few precious times we spent together.
