Obituary of Lenore Karen Grant
Lenore Karen Grant, formerly of Lakevale, passed away peacefully with family by her side on August 26, 2024 in the R.K. MacDonald Nursing Home, Antigonish. Born on October 4, 1948, she was a daughter of the late Simon and Mary (Orton) MacNeil. Lenore, wife of the late David Grant, enjoyed spending time with her 13 grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
Lenore leaves behind children, Shannon (Dwayne) Harding; Cher (Craig) MacInnis; Ashley (Corey) Doucet; Blake (Amara) Lesko and Kyle (Megan) Lesko; siblings Velma Hebb; Sharon MacDonald; Ronnie (Francis) MacNeil; Doreen (Donnie) Chisholm; Carroll (Greg) MacPherson; Joanne Pushie; sister-in-law Genevieve MacNeil. Besides her parents and husband, David, she was also predeceased by siblings, Gary MacNeil; Lawrence (Kay) MacNeil; Jerome MacNeil and Joseph MacNeil; brother-in-law David Hebb.
Throughout her life, Lenore worked in many different fields including the Halifax County Rehabilitation Centre, Ballantyne Cove Harbour Authority and Antigonish Tax Service.
The family would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to the R.K. MacDonald Nursing Home for the exceptional care, compassion and unwavering support that was provided to Lenore throughout her time spent at the R.K. Your dedication and kindness has truly made a significant difference in our lives and we are grateful for everything you have done.
Visitation will be held from 2-4 and 7-9 on Wednesday, August 28th in MacIsaac Funeral Home. A graveside service will take place at 10 am on Thursday in St. Ninian's Cemetery, Reverend Andrew Boyd presiding. Family flowers only please. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the R.K. Mac Donald Nursing Home.
