I was away when Nick died and really wish I could have paid my respects in person. Nick was one of my favourite teachers, ever. He had a wonderful way with young people in particular - he was gentle, kind, and respectful, and I loved his class. I still remember how well he taught geometry proofs, in particular. I was very involved in 4-H as a youth, and Nick and his family were too. We had lots to talk about and he always took time to ask me about my family and friends. Our community has lost a wonderful human being.

Sorry for your loss. Mr. Oxner was a wonderful math teacher. He took the time to help every student in the class. ARHS was a little more tolerable with his delightful people skills. He was my favorite math teacher for good reasons. He was kind, hard working and most of all he took great care of his students. He was respected at Antigonish Regional High School . God bless

To my cousins Bill, Mary and Robert - I'm so sorry for your loss. Your dad was a kind and caring member of our family. I remember walking with him and all of you to the garden years ago to watch him measure the pumpkins and tell us about soil and rain. He was a natural teacher. He will be missed.

An unforgettable respectable gentleman! He was my Math teacher in grade 12 at Dr J H Gillis Regional HS in 1999. He loved to make you smile, he was quite the character for sure. Many laughs, many many! He use to be a spotter for the Cross Country races for the School. One time he was waiting for me with a stick, when I passed by he run out after me with the stick in air saying, "Come on, Latimer! Get on his shoulders, get on his shoulders! I laughed out loud! Never a dull moment, RIP Sir

My sincere condolences on his passing and your mom’s as well. I will keep you all in my thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
