Obituary of Mary Agnes Pelrine

Mary Agnes (Ridgley) Pelrine who passed peacefully on Friday, October 28, 2016, at High Crest Nursing Home in Sherbrooke. Born in Halifax on April 9, 1929, she was the daughter of the Late George and Mary Ann (Pelrine) Ridgley. She was the last surviving member of her family. She worked as an office clerk for the CNR at an early age due to the passing of her father, she remained there until she married Charlie and started raising their family. She was involved in Girl Guides for over 30 years until they retired to Merland. Agnes is survived by her husband Charles of over 57 years, daughters Kathleen (Bill) Stephenson of Lethbridge, Alberta, Patricia (Ralph) Kelly, Barbara and sons George, Frank, Raymond (Mary), Wayne and Karl all of Halifax, and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her daughter Cecelia Ann Ridgley, sister Marjorie Pettipas, brothers Reg, Jack, Robert, Thomas, George, David, and Joey. Visitation will be Monday, 2–4 and 6-8 at St. Peter's Place, Tracadie. Funeral Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. at St. Peter's Church, Tracadie with Rev. John Barry officiating, interment at St. Patrick's Cemetery, Merland. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the IWK Foundation.
