Obituary of Richard Anthony Derby

Due to dangerous conditions this funeral will be postponed until Saturday at 11am Richard Anthony Derby, 81, of Greenhill Dr., Antigonish died Monday, December 5, 2016 in St. Martha's Regional Hospital. Born in Somerville, MA; he was a son of the late Gordon and Dorothy (Cummings) Derby. Richard served in the military in the US. He moved to Antigonish in 1976 and worked various jobs in the community. Surviving are wife Blenda (MacGillivray) and daughter Dianne, Boston. He was predeceased by son Richard. Funeral Mass 11 am Friday, December 16 in St. Columba Church, Lakevale. Rev. Evo DiPierro presiding. Burial of ashes in the Parish Cemetery.
