Obituary of Theresa MacEachern

We are deeply saddened to announce the sudden passing of Theresa "Tess" MacEachern on January 8th, 2017 in St. Martha's Regional Hospital, Antigonish; at the age of 83.Born in Pleasant Valley on October 28, 1933. She was the daughter of the late Dan George and Amelia (Baxter) MacEachern. Theresa enjoyed the simple pleasures in life such as a good cup of tea, chats with friends and neighbors, and a trip to town. On weekends she loved to go to local yard sales to find hidden treasures. She also found great pleasure in nature. She was very proud of her flower and vegetable gardens. She welcomed animals of any kind; birds, dogs and especially her cats.Theresa spent many years volunteering as a member of the 4 Valley's Ladies Auxiliary.Theresa had a very special spot in her heart for Duncan, Dawson and Mckayla. She will be sadly missed by her son, Donnie (Martina) Pleasant Valley; two brothers, Johnny (Josie), Pleasant Valley; Hugh Dan (Patsy), North Grant; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by brother Ernest "Bob" (Linda), Ohio; sisters Stella (Ed Emoft), Toronto, ON; and Elizabeth, Pleasant Valley. Visitation 2-4 and7-9 pm, Wednesday in MacIsaac Funeral Home, 61 Pleasant St., Antigonish. Funeral Mass 11:00am Thursday, January 12, 2017 in St. Mary's Parish, Maryvale; Rev. Evo DiPierro presiding. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to the S.P.C.A. and St. Martha's Hospital Foundation.
