Dear Foleys.
Please accept my heartfelt condolences for the loss of Ron. I first met him about 15 years ago when I was running to be the leader of the NS Liberal Party. My mother, Jean (Hadley MacDonald) Graham was the person who first introduced us. She told me about this man who was the salt of the earth - warm, straight-shooting, humble and concerned about social issues. She couldn't have been more accurate.
Through the years of getting to know Ron, I delighted in seeing him. He always had a wry smile and a probing question - not to mention one of the firmest handshakes in the province. We are all better because of his life. In the sorrow you must feel in losing him, please know that you are not alone. He led a beautiful life. I'll remember his example for many years.
Warmest regards
Danny Graham

Dear Mary and family...Have lots of great childhood memories of Ron and yourself in the East End. Mom and dad enjoyed your company especially around election time, what a riot you all had together. Last saw Ron at Maureen's wake last year about this time. It was a wonderful experience chatting with him, as an adult. I had no idea you went on having more children after we left the East end but certainly remember the older ones. Hope you can enjoy the many memories you all have in store as you go through this time. Take care of each other. Mike

My sympathies. I enjoyed meeting your father so much, although I always was second best! He'd come up to CJFX all smiles, and would stop for a minute...then make a bee line for Dave MacLean's office! We knew better than to interrupt that conversation! No doubt he and Dave are going over the political situation now in heaven!
