To the family of the late Vera Lynch,
I was saddened to read the obituary of Mrs. Lynch in the Chronicle Herald on Saturday.
My association with Mrs. Lynch was a unique one----I was an employee of the iconic Spring Garden Road fashion store, Mills Bros., and we enjoyed many telephone calls back and forth over the years. I had the pleasure of choosing and mailing wonderful pieces of clothing to her for her to choose from, to suit many a special occasion! As well, we had great fun choosing Christmas gifts for her daughters----you all must have quite a collection of cashmere sweaters from Christmas/birthday gifts from over the years!
Mrs. Lynch wrote to me upon the closing of Mills and I still have that lovely note.
She was quite a lady and so enjoyed her family.
