Albert R. was a master craftsman, a wonderful neighbour, and as fine a gentleman as you would ever want to meet. It was a privilege to have known him, to have admired his skills, to have honoured his character, and for a few years in particular while we lived at the Cape, to have shared the warmth of his friendship and the generosity of his good will. It is the passing of a fine, fine man, and of an era as well.
