I was very sorry to hear of Joe’s passing. I had the good fortune of playing ball years ago with Joe on the Ranch squad. Many fond memories of camping on road trips when Joe would play the guitar for hours.

Brent and Duane I am very sorry to hear of your Dads passing. Joe was an extraordinary man in many ways. When I first came to Antigonish Joe and Mabel went out of their way to make me feel welcome. His kind heart and humour will always be remembered. After finding Mabel up there if I know Joe he will have a peak around for Elvis. My thoughts and prayers are with your family.

Remembering Uncle Joseph. So many fond memories of a great uncle. Firecrackers, babysitting and the many visits he made to the house. Joseph was the one to give our mother the nickname of Dee Dee. As a young boy, he couldn't pronounce 'Evangeline' and called her Dee Dee, a name that remains today. To Brent, Duane & families, I feel your sorrow and pain, as all of us do. A remarkable, kind man.

Our condolences to the family. We were saddened to hear of his death.Joe was compassionate regarding sympathy and concern for others. He will never be forgotten by me and my family. It was 1980 when my son was killed in a car accident. Some years later I called Joe regarding a stone of remembrance.I mentioned my preference of two super heroes that my son loved and played. He said no problem.I couldn't afford it at the time. Many years passed and in 2008 or 2009 I called Joe again.I was totally astonished that he remembered and said sure. The stone is a beautiful remembrance. In 2018 another beautiful stone remembrance for my parents that passed away in 2006 and 2007.Thank you for your patience, compassion, and work of art Joe Arsenault!
Death Is Not The End by Bob Dylan
A verse from the song:
Oh, the tree of life is growing
Where the spirit never dies
And the bright light of salvation shines
In the dark and empty skies
Just remember that death is not the end

About four years ago my dog Caper had to be put down. I was devastated. A few days later a gift was mysteriously dropped off at my house. It was a lovely stone with my dog Caper’s name carved on it. It took me a long time to figure out who was behind this sweet gesture. It was Joe. Joe was the kind man behind this thoughtful gift. It still sits in the very spot Joe placed it, at the door to my house. Joe was a special man. He will be missed.

My Condolences to Joe and his Family. I had a great opportunity to be a neighbor living across the road and working for Joe in my young days, It was my first job working at the Arsenault Monuments over the summer months, Joe always got me to mow has lawn at his home, alway reminded feeding the ducks at the pond, him playing tricks at Halloween like throwing fire crackers. When my brother pasted at a young age he had a little stone made for him which he had got placed at his gravestone! Great neighbor to my parents. He will be missed! Our sincere condolences to his Sons, and Family!

Boys and all, sorry to hear of Joe's passing. He was one of the first fellows I had the pleasure to golf with when I came to Antigonish. It was 18 holes of fun and laughter...dry humor and all. Came to know your mom and Joe so well. He fought the good fight and gave a whole lot more than he received, and that was the way he liked it....The most truly generous persons are those who give silently without hope of praise or reward..he gave from that deeper place.... simply, freely and generously, and sometimes for no particular reason......wish I could be there on Sunday. God Bless.
