Paula and I were very sorry to hear of Franks sudden passing.
Besides Franks vast skills associated with photography, fish, nature, kayaking, fixing things, and others it was through R C Model Airplanes that we developed a great friendship over 20+ years. Frank’s RC flying mentorship with me began at the Hatchery field and continued through the construction of our own private flying field in Maryvale. Many memorable evenings were spent fighting the mosquitoes and darkness playing out our RC passion. I will always cherish the trips to various RC events, back and forth visits and great conversations. Rest in Peace Frank. You are missed. Robert Smith
I’ll always cherish my memories with Uncle Frank. We both shared a deep passion for all things related to flying and fishing and as such, I always felt very close to him. I will always miss you Uncle Frank. I’d like to finish with a poem.
Oh! I have slipped the surly bonds of earth
And danced the skies on laughter-silvered wings;
Sunward I've climbed, and joined the tumbling mirth
Of sun-split clouds - and done a hundred things
You have not dreamed of - wheeled and soared and swung
High in the sunlit silence. Hov'ring there
I've chased the shouting wind along, and flung
My eager craft through footless halls of air.
Up, up the long delirious, burning blue,
I've topped the windswept heights with easy grace
Where never lark, or even eagle flew -
And, while with silent lifting mind I've trod
The high unsurpassed sanctity of space,
Put out my hand and touched the face of God.
