So sorry to hear this. Our New Years email bounced back so I googled John and found this. John helped our strategic plan in Bangladesh and was my guide and introduction to Pakistan. My favorite memory is our dinner at his hone in Karachi one evening. In touch by email I was coming from Nepal and John from one of the Stans. He asked me to bring as many bottles of wine as I could fit in my hand carry, decanted into plastic water bottles (pre 9 11) and a box or two of Carr’s water crackers. He would bring a large jar of caviar from whichever “Stan” he was in. We arrived from our respective travels within hours of each other and had a wonderful dinner of caviar, crackers and wine! Best meal ever!

I met John through mutual good friends, Joe & Gisela O'Brien. John was an amazing person and a wonderful humanitarian.
