Even at the age of 95, I can honestly say she is gone too soon. Known for her wit and smile, she could always put a smile on your face. Growing up on Church, everyone knew her. She was a great friend of my Grandparents Neil and Teenie, and all us McKenna’s. Such a staple of Church. She will be missed. My heartfelt condolences to all the Sears and Painter’s.

My sincere sympathy to all of Jessie’s family at this sad time. She was a beautiful lady with such spirit and strength. I am sure she held her breath every time Leo went out on the road, driving the Arras branch bowling team to another annual tournament. Her loss to Church Street and her community is great but, she has earned her rest. Rest In Peace, Jessie.
Sincerely, Garry Fidler

Jackie and all the Sears Family:
My sincere sympathy to you on the passing of your mother. It was obvious, on the couple of occasions that I met her over the years, that she was a lovely lady. Saying goodbye to a parent is always a life-changing event; the age, it does not ever matter. Once again, my sympathy to you and all your family.

I Bowled with Jessie on the Maple Leafs for many years. She always had a joke or two in her pocket and was as witty as can be. We had a lot of laughs. She had a beautiful glide with her long blades on the ice and impressed many a skater. She was loved by many and oh so proud of her family. Go in Peace Jessie and some day I will see you on the other side.

So sorry to hear of Jessie's passing. We were distantly related. Her Mom.."Mrs. Jim" and my grandmother were cousins. Mrs. Jim used to come to James River to visit. Came on Acadia Lines bus and spend the night. They would have a "JILLICK".. Probably don't know what that is. A stronger refreshment than water lol. Your Mom was a beautiful lady and much loved.

I loved my Aunt Jessie dearly. She always had her door open and often took me in and cheered me up. I remember being stuck on Church St in a snowstorm for 3 days. Lots of card-playing, drinking (Jessie was such a big drinker), and just having a great time. When the weather cleared I was dressed in a snowsuit and sent to Sobeys. Peter and Leo had to pull me out because instead of taking the roadway I went straight across thinking I could take the shortcut (I learned the hard way that I was wrong). She was the greatest of ladies. All my love, Catherine Anne https://s3.amazonaws.com/skins.funeraltechweb.com/tribute-gestures/DeckOfCards.png
