Bernadette and John Landry were two fine people. I knew them when I ran the Arena in the late 70s and we always enjoyed bumping into each other ever since. Two fine people have left us. My sincere condolences to the family.

Aunt Bernadette was a truly warm and always welcoming and generous lady with a mischievous sense of humour. A visit to Uncle John and Aunt Bernadette was always part of any visit to Antigonish. They are together now and we miss them both. Bill, Donald, Margaret-Ann and Jim Macdonald.

I met Bernadettee only a few times and yet I have always had fond memories of her as one of the kindest and most charming persons I have ever encountered. It is sad to see her pass, but it is some consolation that she lived a long life in which she gave so much to others.

I’m saddened to hear of Bernadette’s passing. I met your mother when I worked at the Angus L. McDonald Library (‘92-‘94). One day Bernadette mentioned she loved cinnamon candy hearts - as a result I always think of Bernadette on Valentine’s Day - I will continue to do so!

I’m so sorry to hear of Bernadette’s passing. My condolences to the whole family. Bernadette worked at the Angus L Library with my Mom (Claire Grace). They had a lot of good times at work and also outside of work (Highland Games, work parties, horse races, etc.). I always enjoyed seeing Bernadette when I was home visiting my Mom. I will remember Bernadette’s mischievous smile. God Bless you all during this sad and difficult time.

Dear Landry family, this is a very sad day. I can't see her face and not think of childhood days on Victoria Street, playing with Audie and Bernadette in the best back yard ever, and being patted on the head by Big Bernadette. It was always a delight to run into her over street and have a chat to catch up. You are all in my thoughts. All our kindest regards, Tessie and Hugh

Bill, Reg, Audrey, Bernadette, Lorna, Carol Anne, and families:
I was very sad to hear of your Mom's passing. I have the fondest of memories of your Mom when we went to Antigonish to visit and when your Mom came to the Soo. (I remember that she sneaked some Atlantic salmon in her suitcase for Dad, frozen of course!) Dad always said that I looked like your Mom and that we were very similar in many ways. I always took it as a compliment. I wish it hadn't been so long since I'd seen her. Tim talks about how wonderful you all are when he visits Antigonish.
I will always have a spot in my heart for Bernadette.
Love and sympathy,
Margie Marlow (MacDougall) (Sonny's daughter)
