I met Elizabeth the week she moved in to Ocean View, which happened to be my first week of work! Neither of us knew the building well, and of course got a little lost finding our way back to her room. We roamed the halls chatting, and both stopped in our tracks when we discovered we were both from Antigonish, and shared family in common!
I so enjoyed my visits and chats with Elizabeth. There was always a story to be shared about home, and all the happenings, and she was good to boost my efo as my pregnant belly grew (and grew).
Condolences to David and family, she will be missed.

There are no words to express how saddened we were to learn of Elizabeth's passing. The world could use more people like her--kind, gentle, caring, and so compassionate. Whether she was delivering 'Meals on Wheels' in her community or packing school and hygiene supplies to help workers and their families when she was vacationing in the Caribbean, Elizabeth would gladly give whatever she had to anyone in need--family, friend, or complete stranger. She had great faith in God and an innocence in her outlook, both of which enabled her to see only the good in people. Our world would be a much kinder, gentler place if we all possessed that attribute and ability. Rest in your well-deserved peace Elizabeth. You will be missed.
With love and our deepest sympathy,
Flo and Isabel

Elizabeth..what a strong wonderful person you were.Your love of family was always paramount ..each of your siblings were of such importance to you…all accomplishments of each was told with pride. Nieces and nephews held a very special place in your heart. All the moves you made to new places and in each, you made a beautiful home.. it was your pride and rightly so. You battled your illness with dignity, so rest now, dear Liz…

Elizabeth you were the strongest and kindest person in our family. You called Mom a number of times a day for the last 40 years. I miss your daily calls and the last call at night to say good night and “Sleep in the Name of God”. When you fell Moms heart was broken and when Mom died your heart was broken. My hope is that two broken hearts are now one and you are safe in the arms of Mom and Dad. I miss you and I love you
