Angus started his musical career at a tender age, performing that local radio stations and later he performed in the large clubs in Montreal, Edmonton, Toronto, and Hawaii. He also made numerous television appearances on various shows and had four singles chart in the top 50 of RPM magazine's weekly rating of country music songs, and continued entertaining throughout his life. He was the recipient of the prestigious Maple Leaf Award in 1965, for the most promising male vocalist and, more recently, inducted into the Bluegrass Hall of Fame 2024, for the Quebec region.
